SUMMARY:ELDS Masterclass: Coaching for Growth: How Great Leaders Develop Others
DESCRIPTION:In the high-pressure environment of construction\, whether in the office of the field\, the default is often to "direct" to ensure immediate results. However\, for senior leaders\, the shift from "Fixer" to "Coach" is the only way to scale your impact and build a high-performing project team. This session moves away from the directive style of leadership and toward a "question-based" approach that builds autonomy in your team. By combining frameworks with insights from our executive panel\, we will explore how to develop the next generation of construction leaders.\n\n \nLearning Objectives:\n\n\n	Differentiate Coaching vs. Directing: Identify when to step in with a solution and when to ask the question that builds a direct report's critical thinking.\n	Master Question-Based Leadership: Learn specific inquiry techniques to help your team navigate complex project issues\, financial discrepancies\, or subcontractor disputes independently.\n	Apply 1:1 Templates: Utilize structured coaching tools to make project check-ins more developmental and less tactical.\n	Engage in Practice: Participate in simulated scenarios to refine your coaching style and built a coaching culture.\n\n \n\nWho Should Attend\n\nThis masterclass is designed for professionals at all levels who want to strengthen their communication and leadership capabilities\, including:\n\n\n	New managers seeking practical tools to confidently handle challenging conversations.\n	Young professionals preparing for future leadership roles and looking to build a strong communication foundation.\n	Team leaders\, supervisors\, and emerging leaders responsible for guiding others and fostering a positive workplace culture.\n	Anyone who wants to improve their ability to deliver feedback\, navigate conflict\, and communicate with clarity and empathy.\n\nParticipation in this session does not require being a graduate of the ELDS program. This training is open to all AGC MA professionals interested in enhancing their communication skills.
