The Concept
Teams compete to build the best structure using only food items—then present it like a real construction project.
Team Setup
- Teams of 3–5 people
- Mixed skill levels encouraged (skiers + non-skiers)
All edible, all messy, all fun:
- Pretzel rods (beams)
- Graham crackers (walls/floors)
- Cheese cubes or marshmallows (connectors)
- Toothpicks or pretzel sticks (reinforcement)
- Frosting, peanut butter, or cream cheese (mortar)
- Candy or crackers (design elements)
Teams have 30–45 minutes to build a structure that:
- Can stand on its own
- Is at least a minimum height
- Represents a construction-themed or winter-themed build
(ski lodge, bridge, tower, mountain chalet, etc.)
- Structural Integrity – Does it stand?
- Creativity & Design – Is it clever or funny?
- Theme Fit – Construction + winter vibe
- Team Presentation – 30-second “project pitch”
- Stress Test: A gentle shake of the table or a “wind gust”
- Surprise Change Order: Midway rule like “add one more level” or “remove a support”
- Best Overall Build
- Most Creative
- Best Use of Materials
- People’s Choice
Fire pits, drinks, games, and nonstop friendly competition make this the perfect winter warm-up. Bring your A-game and your team spirit.
