AGC Virtual Lean Construction Education Program

Description

Lean Construction is driven to minimize costs and maximize value on each project completed, challenging all stakeholders to develop and apply better ways to manage the overall construction process.

AGC Edge Lean Construction Education Program is designed to educate construction professionals at all experience levels to develop the tools needed to build lean. The highly interactive virtual program provides instruction via Zoom and training to prepare construction industry professionals at all levels to learn the building blocks necessary to transform their projects and companies into a lean operating system.

After participants complete all four courses in the program, they become eligible to sit for an exam to earn the Certificate of Management – Lean Construction (CM-Lean).

These five courses build on each other to progressively cover a range of topics essential to Lean Construction, including:

⦁    Variation and pull in production
⦁    Lean Workstructuring, supply chains, and assembly
⦁    Production management
⦁    Management by values
⦁    Problem-solving principles and tools

Unit 3 – Lean Workstructuring
Unit 4 – The Last Planner® System
Unit 5 – Lean Supply Chain and Assembly
Unit 6 – Lean Design and Pre-construction
Unit 7 – Problem-solving Principles and Tools

Courses will be offered online via the Zoom platform, a webcam is required for participation. Registration costs include all course participant’s materials.

Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given to cancellations made 14 calendar days prior to the class kick-off. After such time, no refunds will be given. Replacements are acceptable and must be submitted via email to rockkie.dunton@agc.org.

AGC reserves the right to cancel programs up to 10 days prior to the start date if a minimum number of attendees is not met.

Meet Your Course Instructor:
Brian Winningham, Lean Construction Coach and Owner of Field Driven Lean, LLC

Brian Winningham spent more than 20 years leading construction projects with PCL, Turner, Skanska, and SpawGlass. He is passionate about sharing the many ways Lean can improve your work and your life. He is a Lean Construction Institute (LCI) Approved Instructor and is active in supporting LCI Communities of Practice all over the United States. Brian is a Combat Veteran of the 3/75 Ranger Battalion. He actively encourages Veterans to join the Construction Industry and still mentos several former co-workers who are Veterans. Brian, his wife, and their two daughters happily share their home with Gus the Schnoodle, Lulu, and Tobey, Miniature Poodles.
