Fees/Admission

Cost per student is: $895

This program is eligible for MCAP Reimbursement. AGC Members that are MCAP contributors will receive a 75% reimbursement of the registration fee for this program after the full registration fee is paid to AGC. The maximum reimbursement allowed for each unit is $4,000 per firm. Attendance is mandatory for reimbursement.

The maximum reimbursement allowed for all eligible programs is $15,000 per year.

Course is limited to 12 students

The Fall Protection Competent Person course is designed for anyone who is working at heights, decision makers and supervisors who are responsible for answering questions about fall protection. This course is designed to give all students the knowledge base to identify hazards both existing and potential and how to mitigate those hazards.

Topics covered:

Fall hazard elimination and control measures
Applicable fall protection regulations
Fall hazard surveys and fall protection procedures
The responsibilities of designated persons under the standards
Detailed inspection of equipment components and systems
Fall protection system assessments and determining when a system is unsafe
Fall protection rescue procedures
The selection and use of non-certified anchorages

This course includes both classroom and hands on activities, including both a written and practical exam. Upon completion of the course each student will be provided a certificate and wallet card acknowledging that they successfully completed the competent person course that meets and exceeds the OSHA and ANSI requirements for training.

Dress code for training: safety toed shoes, long pants and short sleeve shirt.

Please Bring your fall protection gear and gloves.
