Join us for a conversation with John Dalzell, AIA, LEED Fellow, Senior Architect for Sustainable Development at the Boston Planning Department. John leads and contributes to sustainable development, green building, and climate resiliency policies, programs, and practices including the Zero Net Carbon Building Zoning Initiative, Mass Timber Accelerator, Article 37 Green Building Team, E+ Green Building Program, and numerous strategic area planning initiatives.
This session will focus on how the Sustainable Development office within the Boston Planning Department supports project teams in optimizing sustainability through cost‑effective strategies that align with the City of Boston’s climate goals. John will explain how his team collaborates with project stakeholders throughout the development process and will highlight the most effective ways for preconstruction and estimating teams to integrate sustainability criteria into their workflows.
